Legal information

Privacy

This page explains how information is used when you browse the Iris Cockatoo website and explore its archive.

Who operates this website

The Iris Cockatoo website is operated for Mike Capps / Dapper Travels. I.R.I.S. is a fictional institution within the stories, not the organisation handling visitor information.

Browsing and hosting

The website is hosted on Kinsta and built with WordPress. Hosting systems may process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages and access times to deliver the website, maintain security and investigate errors.

You do not need a visitor account to explore the archive or collect records. The archive experience does not ask for a password or payment information.

The Field Case and discovery progress

The Field Case uses your browser’s local storage to remember collected records, discovery progress, reward access and introductory prompts you have already seen. This allows you to return to your findings without creating an account.

This progress is stored in the browser and device you use. It is not a visitor account and does not automatically transfer to another browser or device. It remains there until you clear this website’s stored data or your browser removes it.

You can remove it through your browser’s settings for this website. Clearing the stored data resets your Field Case and discovery progress. In private browsing, progress may be removed when the private session ends.

Cookies and browser controls

Local storage is separate from cookies. WordPress may also use cookies for signed-in site administration. These are separate from the visitor’s Field Case progress.

Your browser lets you manage cookies and website storage. Blocking storage may prevent collected records and rewards from being remembered between visits.

The Dispatch List

When you join the Dispatch List, we collect your email address and record your consent and subscription status. We use GoHighLevel, through its LeadConnector form and email services, to manage subscriptions and send confirmation, welcome and archive-update emails.

After signing up, use the confirmation link sent to your inbox to activate your subscription. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in Dispatch emails.

External links

If you follow a link to another website, its own privacy policy applies to your visit there.

Questions and updates

Email director@iriscockatoo.com for questions about your information or to request access, correction or deletion, subject to applicable law.

This policy will be updated when the website’s data practices change. The date below identifies the latest revision.
